Norske tog has taken over Flytoget's trains

From April 1, the ownership of Flytoget's 23 trains will be transferred to Norske tog.

The change takes place in connection with Flytoget becoming a subsidiary of Vygruppen. The Flytoget employees who have had the main responsibility for following up the trains will be transferred to Norske tog through a transfer of business.

-Flytoget has highly skilled employees who have done an impressive job of managing their rolling stock. We look forward to getting to know them better and learning from their valuable experience and expertise, says CEO of Norske tog, Øystein Risan.

Until now, Flytoget has owned and operated its own trains, but in line with the government's desire to gather all state-owned rolling stock in one company, the trains will now become part of Norske tog's portfolio. The government's goal is to facilitate a more comprehensive and long-term management of rolling stock in Norway. With this transfer, Norske tog will, with few exceptions, own all train sets used for passenger traffic on the Norwegian rail network.
